About the work
In the period of last Summer 2005 I took a trip to Thailand to experience the culture and environment. I was very interested in looking at the different environments Thailand had; ranging from dense jungle to expansive open islands. The areas I was located the most was an island called Ko Samui; but also I drew in Bangkok and Pattaya. The work looks at the vivid experience I had on Thailand landscape and the places I went to paint.
After this Trip I held a small exhibition called 7 hours in conjunction with another artist, Hester Berry. It’s title represented the time difference from Devon and Thailand. It was a successful weekend and the work was highly praised.
