About the work

Lincolnshire is a very lush and unique landscape. A large area of Lincoln is flat plain land however the work I wanted to focus on was the linkage between the rural and the city of Lincoln.

The colour was muted in some paintings and this was done to create better atmosphere and give a feeling of perhaps snow, wind or rain. The compositions I was concerned with had a lot of movement; particularly in the sky, so I had to use a fluid motion so that I would be able to work quickly and get the information down quickly.
